Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and balance levels to ensure they are challenging but fair and fun for players

  • Playtest the game to identify and fix bugs, imbalances, and other issues

  • Analyze live data to identify issues and propose solutions for specific levels or game mechanics

  • Create and maintain detailed design documents to specify and propose game mechanics, systems, rules

  • Collaborate with other members of the game team such as artists, programmers, and QA to bring the game design to life

  • Communicate with stakeholders and team members to gather feedback and input on the game design

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices and incorporate those into the game and level design where appropriate
